One Last Ride

They can’t smell the flowers…

Rose pedals, lillies, carnations…

And I wish I could rewind to the hour,

We had our last conversation.

God’s divine timing,

Sometimes doesn’t align with…

Our idea of “the right time.”

Because we’re always left with…

“I wish…,” when it’s time to say goodbye. 

I wish we had…one more time…

One last ride..

To talk about life…it’s course and your decisions..

To talk about God,

And your heart’s condition.

We are never ready to meet our maker..

And we go our entire lives searching for saving..

When we have a savior..

And even though you may have closed your eyes..

For the last time..

I pray that your heart accepted..

Our Lord and Savior..Jesus Christ

Because the road to hell is wide open..

And the gate to heaven is narrow..

I need one last ride with you..

Just to tell you,

To forgive…to love with your entire heart

To let go of things, that one day you’ll depart…

From…and..selfishly..

I’d ride with you into the sunset…

Letting you know how much I’d miss you,

And how…my life wouldn’t have been what it’s been

If I didn’t live through…

It with…you

My family..my blood..my friend

God loves you til no end..

And I wish we could’ve taken one last ride

To remind you to open your heart…

One last time.

Because that’s all we really need.

No goodbyes, no tears, no fear…

Just preparation for when God is near.

I pray he covers you..

As we endure pain and sorrow…

Wishing there was more time we could borrow..

But in time, I know the rest that are left will make thru…

Knowing if you opened your heart before you closed your eyes…

God will save you.

I just wanted to tell you one last time…
