That as a man,

I can relate.

It’s not even open for debate.

Because a man would never fully grasp,

A woman’s place.

Strong, independent, a source of love.

Having to, care for those around them

While us men don’t notice the…

Small things..

The detail and effort it really takes,

To get ready, and learn to be great

At putting make up on their face.

Being judged for their weight,

Or, how much money they make.

In a world where men dominate,

And not because that’s our rightful place.

But more because,

It’s the world that us men create.

I can only imagine,

Having…

To stand next to men,

Who have hearts and skin

Just like women do,

And to be a women and feel like

You’re not equivalent to,

The men you’re standing next to.

Or having to deal with that time of the month,

Feeling drained…with temperament

That they can’t explain…

Carrying the weight of babies,

Straining, their legs and knees.

All while having to compete,

With egotistical men who will never understand

A woman’s power.

Having to be…

nurturing, collaborative, and expressive

Just to feel accepted

In a world where men and women coexist.

I noticed it’s…

Crazy.

Crazy that as men we don’t fully embrace women’s power.

Understanding that this isn’t a man’s world – it’s ours.

Because without them bearing our children

And loving us they way they do.

We wouldn’t be half of the men

We claim, and you…

Have to understand that a woman’s place

Is a position of power,

Regardless of what books’ll say.

Because they are responsible for the growth

Of this world, as a race.

And teach the world how to love

In intuitive ways.

And for that,

I believe that women have the power.

To decide what role they play

In this world of ours.

And even though I don’t understand,

Nor claim to relate.

I can confidently say,

That women made me the man I am today.

So even though I don’t get it,

I thank you all for being you.

I’ll never try to understand

What being a woman means to you.

Because I can’t wear the shoes,

Or play the position

That makes up all of the qualities

Of you powerful women.
