My Compass

Lord, give me revelation

Show me what to do

Show me the direction

I should step my foot into

You’ve granted me the will

You’ve shown me all of the signs

I think this voice is yours

I really hope it isn’t mine

I make my own decisions

You know this to be true

So I continue to seek the word

Hoping you’ll show me how to move

I pray throughout the day

I continue to build my faith

I’m not worried about salvation

I’m focused on your ways

Your will shall be done

And I align myself with you

I just wish sometimes, you’d tell me

Exactly what to do

You know all that I’ve seen

The things I had to endure

So I pray you’d understand

Why sometimes I feel unsure

So give me some direction

I’ll follow your lead

You are my compass

You are all that I need

The beginning and the end

The reason that I’m here

This all happened by design

I cannot live in fear

May my next move be my best

I’m praying that it’s true

So let the next step that I take
